Loved our stay at Mainstone! Fine views over the river. A wonderfully clean room. The breakfast was delicious, but the bathroom was a bit small. Can't wait to come back!

I loved it. The location of the hotel was incredible - a 10-15 minute walk from Old Guildhall Museum and Gaol. Furthermore, the area was lovely. The staff were amiable and the restaurant was GOOD! Got tasty breakfasts with toast and exceptional home made porridge, as for instance.

Looe vibes 🏖️
The brekkie was proper lekker and filling, we loved the cosy vibe and the fine view from our room over the river. The hosts were super friendly, even offered us tea on arrival!
The bathroom was a bit of a tight squeeze, but we managed just fine.

The room was spacious and featured a fantastic view of the harbor. The selection of tea, coffee, and the little extras like biscuits offered a nice touch to the stay.
The bathroom basin was uncomfortably small and awkwardly positioned under a wall cupboard. The breakfast menu leaned heavily towards meaty options, which left limited choices for vegetarians and vegans. It would have been great to have bedside lamps for better reading light since the overhead lights were overly bright, but this didn't stop us from enjoying our time.

Good or Bad? Let me explain.
Lovely views from our bright, clean room, complemented by attentive service from Janine. Breakfast options included a fantastic vegetarian selection, ensuring everyone has something to enjoy.
A slightly cramped bathroom layout may not be ideal for everyone, and the absence of softer bedside lighting made reading a bit challenging after hours.

The double room featured an excellent view over the estuary, providing an really good sight when waking up each morning. Room amenities included an ample supply of tea, coffee, milk, and even hot chocolate.
The bathroom basin proved too small for comfort and was inconveniently placed beneath a wall cupboard. While the breakfast menu offered a feast for meat lovers, the limited veggie and vegan options could leave some without a satisfying choice. A bedside lamp for softer lighting would have enhanced the reading experience, given that the overhead lights were a bit too bright.

Good retreat to savor peaceful evenings by the harbor and enjoy the beautiful coastal path to Polperro.

Staying in a double room with a fine river view was a highlight. The breakfast menu, with good tasty salads, added a fresh touch to the morning. The bathroom layout felt cramped was good. Limited vegetarian options during breakfast could be an issue for some guests, and more bedside lighting would enhance the ambiance for reading.

Had a cozy room with a tv and free wi-fi, but no pets allowed.

missingWrote a review on 08 Julcute atmospherecramped bathroom layout
We are warmly welcomed at the door and shown to our beautifully appointed double room, with a huge and comfortable bed with charming decor. The location is fantastic, being just a short stroll to the lively town centre with various shops and restaurants, and it's only a 20-minute walk to the beach along the quayside, offering a pleasant experience. Breakfast is a highlight, with a good selection of cereals and fresh fruit served hot in the sunlit dining area.
The bathroom layout feels a bit cramped, which might be a concern for some guests.
